Underground – Encounter with Dominique Perrault

At just 36 years of age he won the competition for the National Library of France, his work has been exhibited at the Centre Georges Pompidou, he curated the French Pavilion at the XII Venice Biennale and he has realised projects throughout the world: Dominique Perrault, architect, planner and designer encounters the MAXXI public together with Margherita Guccione, director of MAXXI Architettura, and Alessandro d’Onofrio.

Born in 1953, Dominique Perrault continues his sophisticated architectural research and experimentation, obtaining success and recognition. During the course of the encounter, the French architect will talk about his most famous projects, those already built and those in construction, including Kolonihaven in Denmark, the National Library of France, the Saint-Germain-en-Laye Conference Centre, the Kansai-Kan Libary in Kyoto in Japan, the Velodrome and the Olympic Pool in Berlin, the City of Culture of Galizia, Saint-Jacques de Compostelle (Spain), Villa One (France), the Dobrée Museum in Nantes (France), Piazza Garibaldi in Naples and The Ewha Women’s University in Séoul (Korea).
