With the new MAXXI Arte collection display Apropos of Marisa Merz, the museum has carried forward its examination of those artists who may be considered to be the masters of the XXI century and has provided for in-depth research into the art of Marisa Merz with the publication of a monograph (A proposito di Marisa Merz, edited by Carolina Italiano, Mousse Publishing 2012).
In a further opportunity for examining the role played by Marisa Merz since her debut, MAXXI B.A.S.E. is pleased to announce a call for papers and a study day focussing on the artist and Italian art of the last few decades.
Graduating students, doctorate students, bursary holders and young researchers and academics are invited to present an original paper on Marisa Merz, selecting one of the following themes:
- the choice of materials and the techniques used
