ICOM Italia Prize – Museums of the Year
III Edition: the winners

“The social project, in line with the natural vocation for the contemporary of this large but young museum institution, is simple in its approach yet rich in contents and potential, to the extent that it constitutes that “direct line” that every modern museum has to know how to establish with its public and in particular the younger generations.”
With this motivation the international prize jury and the ICOM Italia advisory committee rewarded MAXXI and Palazzo Te in Mantua for the best use of social networks.

The international jury was composed of Stephen Cannon-Brookes, president of ICAMT (International Committee for Architecture and Museum Techniques), Ann Davis, president of ICOFOM (International Committee for Museology), Manon Blanchette, president of AVICOM (International Committee for Audiovisual and New Technologies of Image and Sound) and Alessandra Mottola Molfino, president of the college of arbitrators of ICOM Italia, and presided over by the president of ICOM Italia Alberto Garlandini.
