MAXXI Junior
Workshops on contemporary art for those born in the XXI Century
For children between 5 and 10 years of age

What’s involved?
A course for children about contemporary art and architecture, but also photography, design and performance. The museum is an extraordinary place of learning in which discovery, wonder and emotions come into play to facilitate the exercising of the various ways in which we learn. The museum is a place where we can meet, look, listen and construct, where we can move in space, express opinions and give birth to new ideas immersed in the most diverse forms of contemporary creativity.

When?

Masks and puppets celebrating carnival and the Chinese New Year reinterpreting the works of the artist Huang Yong Ping

Birthday at MAXXI

We celebrate the birthdays of children between 7 and 210 years of age in a very special, education and fun way, through workshops and visit-explorations of the art and architecture exhibitions. With children of between 4 and 6 we explore works in the museum in search of the animals escaped from the Villa Borghese zoo through a visit enlivened by stories, characters and illustrations. Then everyone into the museum piazza to blow out the candles. While the children are enjoying the activities, the adults may purchase a guided tour of the MAXXI exhibitions.

How much?
PLAN A: workshop + buffet from € 500
PLAN B: workshop + buffet + cake from € 560
(it is possible to choose a personalised buffet or cake and to adapt the plan for adult groups)

Film at MAXXI

Children’s cinema returns to the museum with adventure, cartoon and comedy films allowing you to enjoy together on the big screen the stories of the past and the present.
