A film by Thomas Vinteberg, Denmark/Sweden/The Netherlands, 2016, 111’
Cast: Ulrich Thomsen, Trine Dyrholm, Lars Ranthe, Julie Agnete Vang

The eagerly awaited new film by Vinteberg, the director of Festen, among the founders of “Dogma 95”, tells the story of a Danish commune in the mid-1970s in which the lives of characters are entwined as they are called on to choose between personal desires and the principles of solidarity and tolerance for the collective good. The film is based on a play by Vinteberg himself and evokes his personal experience of life in a commune north of Copenhagen during his childhood.
