Three seminars and six documentaries discussing the cities of the XXI Century

MAXXI and Movie Movie present Megalopolis, three seminars and the projection of six documentaries, conceived and directed by Francesco Conversano and Nene Grignaffini, discussing the cities of the XXI Century through full length films devoted to the largest urban areas from the west to the east of the world: Los Angeles, São Paulo, Cairo, Karachi, Shenzhen and Tokyo.

The seminars will be an opportunity for debate and stimulating reflection on these great cities, complex yet fragile structures whose growth is a central issue of our immediate future. A subject that involves, within an multi-disciplinary approach, planners, architects and geographers, sociologists, anthropologists, economists and experts in problems associated with transport and mobility, the environment, labour, politics, governance and relational psychology.
