Museo Chiama Artista – Marinella Senatore

The second edition of Museo Chiama Artista (Museum Calls Artist), the project that aims to identify a protagonist of Italian contemporary culture to favour and divulge the most innovative forms of artistic experimentation, features more than 12 stages each in a different AMACI museum.

For this edition of Museo Chiama Artista, curated by Ludovico Pratesi and Angela Tecce, the directors of the AMACI museums have chosen to commission a new work from Marinella Senatore, an artist who in recent years has attracted growing museum consensus in Italy and abroad.

For this occasion the artist has realised the film Jammin’ Drama Project (2014), previewed in the Castello di Rivoli theatre and presented in the AMACI associated museums in a touring programme: at the MAN_Museo d’Arte Provincia di Nuoro; at MAXXI; at the Istituzione Bologna Musei | Villa delle Rose in Bologna; at the Museo del Novecento in Milan and at Palazzo Fabroni – Arti Visive Contemporanee in Pistoia. The film will in this way enrich the programming of the AMACI associated museum throughout Italy for the whole of 2015.
